Police Clearance Certificates (PCC)

When your country needs ink — not digital.

If you live in Canada and need a police clearance certificate (PCC), police record check, or criminal background certificate from your home country — often for immigration, citizenship, employment, or travel — that country usually can't use Canada's digital LiveScan. Instead, they require traditional ink-and-roll fingerprints on a physical card, which you then mail or submit to their police or government authority. We take those ink fingerprints to international standards, including the FD-258 card used for United States (FBI) checks.

How It Works

Three simple steps.

1

Bring Your Card & ID

Bring two valid government-issued photo IDs and any fingerprint card or instructions your country provided. No card? We supply standard ink cards and FD-258s.

2

We Take Your Ink Prints

Our RCMP-accredited technician rolls clean, accepted-quality ink fingerprints on the correct card — done right the first time, in about 10–15 minutes.

3

You Submit to the Authority

You mail or submit the completed card to your country's police authority following their process. We hand you a properly taken card ready to go.

Foreign police clearance fingerprinting — common questions.

Yes. Many countries require ink fingerprints on a physical card to issue a police clearance certificate (PCC), because they don't accept Canada's digital LiveScan. We take RCMP-accredited ink fingerprints on the card your country requires — including FD-258 cards for the United States.
Canada's digital LiveScan is submitted electronically to the RCMP for Canadian purposes. Most foreign authorities require physical ink-and-roll cards that you submit to them directly. We provide those ink cards taken to international standards.
No — we provide the fingerprinting only. The certificate is issued by the requesting country's authority. Requirements vary by country and change, so follow that authority's instructions. Bring your request letter and we'll make sure the prints are taken correctly.
