Book Your Appointment →An FBI Identity History Summary — also called an FBI background check, FBI record, or "rap sheet" — is a report of any criminal-history information the FBI holds about you in the United States, based on your fingerprints. It's requested using rolled ink prints taken on the FBI's FD-258 fingerprint card. We take those prints for you, on the correct card, to the standard the FBI expects — then you submit the card to the FBI, or to an FBI-approved Channeler, along with your application. It's the go-to document when an organization outside the US needs proof of your American criminal history.

Bring two valid government-issued photo IDs. If your application gives an FBI/agency reference number, ORI, or a specific mailing address for the card, bring that too.
