Newmarket & York Region

Why Newmarket comes north for ink.

Digital LiveScan is easy to find. Ink is not. Rolling a clean fingerprint card is a hand skill, it needs the right card stock on hand, and plenty of offices that advertise "fingerprinting" only do the electronic kind. People from Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury and Keswick regularly find that out after a wasted trip.

We roll ink cards every day — FD-258s for the FBI, and police clearance cards for authorities worldwide. It's a straight run up Highway 400 from Newmarket, roughly 40 minutes, and you leave with a completed card in hand.

A rejected card is the expensive outcome, not the drive. Unlike LiveScan, there is no scanner to catch a poor impression — the card goes to the FBI or a foreign records office as-is, and the first person to judge it is a reviewer, often months later. Being turned back means restarting a queue you already waited in. That's the whole reason to have it rolled properly the first time.

Ink or Digital?

Make sure it's ink before you drive.

Read your request letter. "Fingerprint card" or "FD-258" means ink — that's us. "Certified criminal record check" means a Canadian digital submission, and for that there may well be something closer to Newmarket. We'd rather tell you that on the phone than have you make the trip for nothing.

Ink fingerprinting for Newmarket — common questions.

At our RCMP-accredited office at 231 Bayview Dr, Unit 202 in Barrie — about 40 minutes straight up Highway 400 from Newmarket, with free parking on site. Ink and FD-258 work is a specialist service that many offices simply don't offer, so making one trip to a provider who rolls cards daily is usually faster than hunting for something closer.
Yes. We roll FD-258 cards for an FBI Identity History Summary for clients from Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Holland Landing, Sharon, Queensville and Keswick. See FBI fingerprinting for what to bring and how the submission works.
Yes — that's a large part of what we do. We roll ink prints on whatever card format your consulate supplies, for police clearance and good-conduct certificates worldwide. See foreign police clearance fingerprinting for country-by-country pages.
Walk-ins are welcome during business hours, Monday to Friday 9:00AM–5:00PM. We're also open Saturday and Sunday 9:00AM–1:00PM by appointment — call first. If you're driving up from Newmarket, booking online or calling ahead means you won't wait.
About 10–15 minutes for a standard card. Tell us when you arrive if you need more than one card — a spare taken during the same visit costs a fraction of a second trip.
Two valid government-issued photo IDs, plus any fingerprint card, form or instruction letter you were sent. No card? We supply standard blank ink cards and FD-258s. If your instructions specify fields to complete on the card, bring them — a card can be returned for missing details.
This page is about ink and fingerprint-card work, which is what most people travel for. If you need a Canadian RCMP digital check we can certainly do it at the Barrie office — but for digital there are likely closer options in York Region, and we'd rather tell you that than have you drive. Call 705-999-7903 and we'll be straight with you.

Worth the drive, done right the first time.
